Educational Benefits
The American Filtration and Separations Society hosts an annual conference each year. AFS FiltCon is broad in nature and offers four tracks within Applications and Technology. The AFS also offers a selection of short courses on the Monday preceding FiltCon and WFC 13. The short courses are a small classroom setting, designed to give participants a deeper understanding of the topic and providing a forum for direct questions between the participant and instructor. Short courses are instructed by expert leaders in the field. AFS members receive a significant discount for short courses and AFS conferences. Corporate Sponsors may register multiple individuals from the company, all at the member rate. A quantity discount is given when three or more individuals from the same company register for an AFS conference.
Networking Benefits
Networking opportunities are one of the most significant benefits of attending AFS conferences. There are many opportunities to network with business leaders, technical experts, corporate management and the “Who’s who” of the industry. As an AFS member, either Individual or Corporate Sponsor, you will have an opportunity to join a committee, engaging in the Society and making a contribution in an area that appeals to you most. Chapter membership is another benefit of your membership. Become involved in your local chapter, organizing chapter meetings and recruiting new members.
