About Us
AFS exists to create positive change worldwide by providing comprehensive educational opportunities, fostering a community of collaboration, networking, and idea-sharing within the filtration and separation industry.
The association brings together a diverse group of individuals from all areas of the filtration spectrum. From academia to manufacturers, distributors to end-users, they propel the industry forward by providing exceptional resources across a broad knowledge base. Through conferences and exhibitions, online resources, and advocacy, AFS seeks to meet the world’s filtration needs.
The member companies of AFS collaborate and innovate to ensure clean air and water, safe foods and beverages, pure and effective drug therapies and medical devices, smaller and more powerful personal electronic devices, as well as reliable and efficient transportation platforms, such as trains, boats, and planes. This work is critical as filtration-specific engineering courses, in universities or otherwise, are few and far between. AFS exists to bridge that gap and equip individuals in the filtration industry, whether a sales manager or a graduate student, with expert knowledge and practical understanding. It also connects them with others, empowering them to make a difference.
